Congrats on your impending arrival! I just came across your site and now blog- I am loving it! I have been wanting to learn how to make food for my almost 7 month old son but had no idea how to do it. Take some time, relax (well, try), and then come back and keep up the good work!

Thank you, Jen!! Excited to post them very soon!

And Mandi, thank you for your advice! Wow, you are an amazing mom to handle four so well. My three year old is definitely excited about helping with the baby - at least in theory! I think it will be interesting to see how she relates to a brother, but I have a feeling that she will love and nurture him just the same. Thankfully, she's more into animals and robots than baby dolls and princesses, so they will probably be great friends!

Counting down the days at this point... :)

Thanks and take care!

We've made it through #4 without any jealousy from the older siblings yet, and I think the main factors have been 1) that we have all girls and 2) that we capitalize on their natural desire to nurture.

Even though our first three were only 17 months apart each, we made the big sister(s) feel like second mommas from the start -- comforting the baby, helping with diaper changes, ooh and ahhing over how much the baby loved them and wanted to be just like them.

With our fourth, we found it was even more fun with a 2 yo, 3.5 yo and 5 yo because they really could be a big help!

I'm sure you've heard it before, but my advice is to get your daughter involved as much as possible!

I have no advice, as I only have one...

But, wanted to add good luck on your journey to being a mom of two! Can't wait to see pictures of Bennett.
