Christen,
Great news! They are continuing the study and I was still able to give a sample! I am so thankful to have learned about it through your blog. Thanks again for posting about your story so others can be a part too.

As the previous poster stated, I realize you wrote this post a while ago, but I am wishing I had found it a mere 6 days ago when I was going through the same thing because I would have loved to participate in that study! Not that I hope to be in this situation again, but I will look into it next time if I am! Thanks for sharing your story (and for your amazing nurture baby website that I have recently found and become addicted to!)

Thanks so much for the recommendation!
I checked the company's web site, and was very pleased to see that they offer variety/gift packs so you can try all of the flavours before purchasing quantity of one or more :-). Plan to purchase a gift pack for my granddaughter - her daughter is only 3 weeks old but, as we all know, the time will go by quickly.
They regularly make a 10-hours-each-way drive to visit the in-laws, so this type of easy-fix travel food definitely will be helpful at the outset - as will your previous Travelling Tips article!

Also a very sincere thank you for your wonderful web site ... I've added it to a [short] list of sites I'm putting together for my g-daughter to review, so she'll be knowledgeable and confident when baby does start eating solid food.
Warm regards

I know you posted this a long time ago, but I just want to chime in and say I went through the same experience - a biopsy while nursing - when my baby was four months old. It was a bit traumatic, as my doctor assured me it would not affect breastfeeding, but then I got a fistula anyway! But I was able to continue breastfeeding by just temporarily and partially weaning off that side enough to let the skin heal over. I now participate in the LLL mother-to-mother forums, and the issue occasionally comes up. Sadly, most doctors seem to keep telling women they must wean if they get a fistula, but it's not true. My experience and the experience of other women on that forum show that you CAN continue to breastfeed through a biopsy. So I just wanted to offer encouragement to anyone stumbling on your blog as they search for this help with this issue. (P.S. I'm still nursing my two-year-old!)

I know this was posted a while ago, but I thought I'd share my experience. I went through EXACTLY the same thing, almost to the letter. My left breast was swollen, misshapen, painful and my daughter wouldn't nurse on that side. I didn't have a fever and I felt fine otherwise. I had ultrasounds, mammograms and was eventually told that I needed surgery to remove the lump, even though no one could tell me what it was. In my case it turned out to be a staph infection in my breast. I was on antibiotics for about 3 weeks and every week I went to a surgeon who used a needle to drain the pus from my breast. It sounds a lot more painful than it really was and the draining helped the antibiotics circulate to the infected areas. Everything cleared up pretty quickly and my daughter - who will be 1 this week - nurses happily on both sides.

Thank you for this wonderful website. I love it, and have truly enjoyed using it.
This comment does not relate to your post--I'm sorry! I can't find any where else to ask questions. . . maybe due to mommy brain.
1. In the Creamy Chicken Florentine recipe, how much spinach is in a 1/2 package frozen organic spinach?
2. It would be helpful to have a search feature on your blog, if possible. :)
Thank you again for your wonderful (and generous) website. My daughter loves the food I have made from your recipes.

Thank you for reviewing an alternative for homemade baby food! I'm a new mom and my daughter is 6 months old. We just started feeding solids this month and with a long trip coming up I've been wondering what to do. So this review and the last post on traveling with baby food are excellent advice :)

"Scientists have discovered that many of the children suffering from an autistic spectrum disorder have problems with the digestion and absorption of certain foods. "

I'm wondering if you could add the link to that discovery so that I can read the whole paper/research for myself. Thanks.
